Bitter ex boss?

Stefan has a question about a boss ruining his resume.

I had this boss before who I'm SURE didn't like me, but I have him as a reference on my resume because I always felt like I did hard work for him and figured that he'd see past disliking me and actually be professional, but I feel like he's ruining my chances at new jobs. What should I do?

Answer: Well, while it sucks ass to have a boss ruin your chances at a new job, I gotta say, part of me doesn't blame your boss at all. You're writing into me (which I appreciate, by the way) to ask what you should do about a boss that you think is trashing you to potential employers?

Why in the blue f*ck would you keep someone who you think is making you sound as competent as Mary Carey in an actual movie instead of porn on your resume? Seriously man? Maybe you don't deserve a new job if you're THAT dumb. Just take the guy off and cut all ties with him -- he's clearly a miserable bastard if he's going to overlook hard work you might've done because he has some personal vendetta against you.
